The Invisible Struggle: The Lives of
Women Who Can't Work After Marriage.
Marriage is
considered the beginning of a new chapter in a woman's life. It's a time when
she starts a new life with her partner and embarks on a journey of love and companionship.
However, marriage is not always a bed of roses for many women. In fact, for
some women, it's a time when they are forced to give up their dreams and
aspirations.
It's 2023
but still, One of the biggest issues faced by women after marriage is the
restriction on working. Many women are not allowed by their husbands and
in-laws to work after marriage. They are expected to dedicate their lives to
household chores and family responsibilities. They are not allowed to wear
their favorite clothes or do things that they used to enjoy before marriage.
They have to wake up first in the morning and will go to sleep at the last.
They will cook, they will serve, but they will eat at last. This can be
extremely difficult for women who have always been independent and have worked
hard to achieve their goals.
It's
heartbreaking to see that many women are not allowed to pursue their dreams and
are forced to give up their careers. They are not allowed to be financially
independent and are expected to depend on their husbands for everything. This
is not only unfair but also detrimental to their mental health.
I remember
my friend, Radhika, who was an ambitious and hardworking woman. She was a
successful journalist and had worked tirelessly to build her career. However,
after getting married, she was forced to quit her job and stay at home to take
care of her family. She was devastated and felt like she had lost everything
she had worked so hard for. She struggled to adjust to her new life and felt
like she had lost her identity.
To help
women like Radhika, we need to encourage and support them to pursue their goals
and dreams. Women are capable of achieving great things, and they should be
allowed to do so. We need to break free from these societal norms and
expectations and empower women to live their lives on their own terms.
They must be
free to choose their careers and live their lives on their terms. They should
not be forced to give up their dreams and aspirations just because they got
married. Women need to have the support of their partners and families in
pursuing their goals.
Have you
ever experienced a situation where you felt forced to give up your dreams and
aspirations due to societal norms or expectations? What steps did you take to
overcome this issue? Let's share our experiences and support each other in
breaking free from these restrictions and pursuing our dreams.
In the words
of Eleanor Roosevelt, "A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell
how strong she is until you put her in hot water." Women are
strong and resilient, and they should be allowed to shine.
